This show is a tribute to various medias like 80’s horror like Stephen King and John Carpenter, classic Spielberg films, and the 80’s culture in general. Underneath it all is another good show with great character development. All of the characters in the show serve a purpose and again you see them go through these conflicts and bond together as friends and family. Eleven is my favorite character because you see her change dramatically in Season 1 and 2, she has her powers but she does not know about the outside world due to being locked up for most of her life and when she finally breaks out, she becomes an E.T.-like character that only wants to be loved by others no matter how weird she is. The main kids; Dustin, Lucas, Mike, Will, and Eleven all have great chemistry with each other, and I can totally believe that they are typical friends who are living in the 80’s. In addition to the kids, you also get great performances from some of the adults, mainly Winona Ryder and David Harbour. Season 1 is probably my favorite out of all three, but Season 2 had great moments as well as Season 3. Really this show has a lot of heart and is a great time for those who love 80’s tributes and loves good storytelling in general.

Well Folks, that’s it. These are my picks for some of my favorite television shows. I hoped you enjoyed getting to read my thoughts and I hope you get a better understanding on the types of shows that I like to watch, and which ones I like a lot or even love. Thanks for reading.
I loved this series. One of the only series on Netflix that I’ve binge watched. I truly care about these characters and embrace them with their flaws! I give it an 8.5.
