#14. Star Trek: The Next Generation 💖
I’ve made a full review of this show and I’ve detailed my favorite episodes, so I’m going to be quick here. I had just watched through the last Star Trek film with the original cast, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and I knew that it was time to watch The Next Generation. I started the show, and I watched episodes while on lunch break with work, but I sort of stopped in the middle of Season 1 and did not pick up the show for at least a few months. As it passes by, I casually went back to the show and started to really get invested into the characters within the show. Years later, I finally end the show with All Good Things…Part 1 and 2 and later watched through the Next Generation films. Looking back on it now, the show had a big impact on how I saw things with our society and what has happened over the years and it proved to me that a critically acclaimed series like Star Trek can have a sequel, and later spinoffs. The show is timeless to me because of the characters, the stories, the production design, and bold direction that took Star Trek into new territory and would lay the foundation for spinoff series such as Deep Space Nine and Voyager. It is my current favorite series in the franchise, and I will always remember my watch through this great show.
